Getting artistic shots in a woodland enviroment. Everyone says that keeping your camera still makes for the best photos, but this is not always the case. By aking conrolled movements of yor camera during a longer exposure can give the effect of a painted or fluid like look. Take control by switching to shutter priority or manual shooting mode and dialing in a slow shutter speed. Anywhere from 10 to 1/15 .sec will work. Use a tripod with a 3- axis head so that you can percisely control the mmovement. I would suggest moving the camera vertically just before you fire the shutter so that you can capture a fluid motion. Reccomended setting to use for your first shout would be; focal length 16-100mm, shutter speed 1/15.sec or slower and ISO 100.
